Halo Summary:
Back in 2019, Oconee County Sheriff’s Office became the first law enforcement agency in the world to launch Pursuit Alert, a first-of-its-kind real-time app that warns nearby drivers during police pursuits. Now known as Digital Siren, the system has been upgraded with smarter features and wider alert capabilities. It auto-activates during pursuits (no deputy button-push needed) and notifies app users within a 60–90 second radius. The upgrade also adds alerts for wrong-way drivers, severe weather, active attacks, road closures, and more.
